Little is known about halos. Their meaning, significance, requirements, and even names are undefined at the time of writing. All observed halos have been given a unique name to distinguish them

Halos seem to be absent at the start of a beings life. When first formed, they appear as simple halos or shades. These forms become increasingly complex as the character accumulates power.

Two major categories of halos have been observed: ring halos, and eye halos. The eye shaped halos are referred to as Shades. It is believed that halos and shades exist as two halves of a whole, as indicated by the glyph for ONE. One with a halo may be more likely to find a spirit partner in a shade.

Halo Orientation

There are 4 known halo orientations. 2 for ring halos and 2 for shades. Halos may act as a crown or a collar. Shades may act as a mask or a halter. Justice has only been seen with collared cats. Vengeance has only been seen with haltered cats.

Halo Evolution

Halos have been seen changing form across a single character. This appears to happen when a character takes in power or uses a power. The complexity of a halo can increase over time. Halos seem to start at their simplest form. Possible pattern: Halters gain stripes. Masks gain seperate eyes. Crowns gain stripes. Collars gain more hoops. Other additions, like arrows, are also possible. These may be tied to spirit type, available powers, or some other element.

Halo Loss

Characters known to have halos have also been depicted without halos. This is typically seen in characters who are newly born or dead/unconcious. (This may only apply to those who are dead or have lost a concious part of themselves, more info needed.)

Halo Spread

Halos can be sent to other individuals. This has only been noted in Noon's use of masks to observe Dusk and the shadowcats. It is unknown if this is a power unique to Noon.
