THE FIFTH SOUL WAS THE SHELLS, THE DJNN, BEINGS BORN
IN THE DARK AND THE WATER, FROM THE ASHES OF
MWRT'S FIRE. THE DJNN WERE EMPTY, NAMELESS THINGS
WITH HOLLOW EYES AND SNAPPING JAWS TO MIMIC THE
CRACKED, RUINED HUSK OF THE DEAD STAR THAT THEY
INHABITED. THEY WERE RAVENOUS CREATURES WHO
TURNED THEIR BACKS ON THE ABYSS AND FLED INTO THE
DEPTHS OF MWRT'S BODY. INFERNAL HUNGER CONSUMED
THEM, AND SO IN WISHING TO FILL THEMSELVES, THEY
CONSUMED ONE ANOTHER. THEY WERE FEAR AND THEY
WERE GREED, AND THAT WAS ALL...
The Djnn represent the puppet masters. Infiltrators and manipulators, these spirits crave and yearn for control in almost every facet of their lives. They are often talented at reading those around them and of using their unique situations to their advantage. They can and will fall prey to their innate sense of ambition - a driving need for more, for better, for best. These are the most driven of spirits.
The Djnn have the power of physical control. Those that have this spirit type will be able to numb themselves to pain or to stave off hunger. The proficient will be able to force muscle contractions and spasms in others, as well as slowing or raising the heart rate. The Djnn are the most powerful when in perfect control of themselves and their surroundings, and the more powerful they become, the more they crave absolute authority. They may struggle with narcissism and greed, and they may also become hypersensitive to their physical surroundings. At the height of their skills, they can master full control of the Shells for short periods of time, or can force the body of others to fully shut down. Over time the Djnn’s bones grow more brittle, and their muscles more prone to strain.
