Vision
The First
THE FIRST SOUL WAS IAH, THE MOON. THE SILENT, WATCHING EYE.
IAH HUNG IN A BLACK ABYSS AND FELT IT HAD NO PURPOSE. THERE
WAS NOTHING TO SEE, OR LEARN, OR LOVE. SO FROM ONE SIDE IT
CHIPPED ITSELF AWAY, AND IT SCATTERED THE PIECES THROUGHOUT
THE ABYSS IN ORDER TO CREATE CHILDREN. IAH WAS NOT A CRAFTER
BUT IT WAS ALONE, AND SO FROM ITSELF IT CARVED OUT LIFE. IT
WATCHED, IT WAITED AND IT HOPED. IT HOPED.
The Iah represent the ability to foresee. These are the prophets. These are the sighted. These are the watchers. They understand situations long before their comrades, and are thus gifted with the unique ability to plan. They are the calculating and the controlled, but by turn are naturally closed to those outside of themselves. There is a certain sense of predestination and premeditation which rules these individuals. These are the most centered of spirits.
The Iah have the power of foresight. Those that have this spirit type will be prone to seeing visions of the future and recalling distant memories. The proficient will be able to look through one another’s eyes, or through the eyes of their Chosen. The Iah are most powerful when feeling isolated or lonely, and the more powerful that they become, the less seen or understood they will feel. They may struggle to remain in the present, and often slip into episodes of derealisation and dissociation. At the height of their skills, Iah may find themselves capable of making full blown Prophecies or can use telepathy to converse with those around them. Over time, the Iah’s vocal chords will weaken, until they are rendered mute.
